Antarctic Wildlife Research Unit

AWRU is dedicated to scientific excellence. Through science and education we develop, implement and communicate the results of research on Antarctic and Southern Ocean wildlife species to contribute to a better understanding of their ecology for the purposes of conservation and management.

AWRU research covers a broad range of biological disciplines, including ecology, physiology, behaviour, molecular genetics, virology, biological oceanography and human impacts. We welcome collaboration from other institutions, comments from all interested people and strive to provide the most accurate information possible.
